Friday Sketchers & Just Magnolia

Gosh it's not often I get to link more than one challenge at a time and this week I've done two whoooo. They are as follows:-

Friday Sketchers - use the sketch created by Beatrix
Just Magnolia - a card for someone special.

The papers are tone on tone for a more muted look. The doily is also a paper but looks quite realistic. The sentiment has been stippled with Tim Holtz inks. The flowers have been stickled along with Tilda's rose. Tilda has also been raised up for a little more definition.

So what is everyone asking Santa for ? - what is the "in" thing for crafters wish lists? Just being nosey lol. If you are kind enough to comment let me know thanks.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge.

The joys of Sunday, just enjoyed a lovely Roast prepared by my hubby, boy am I lucky (just got the washing up to do now :(

This card is for the Sugar Bowl Challenge - follow the sketch and use your favourite colour.

Wonder if you can guess my favourite colour?

The Image is a Manga girl from Sugar Nellie, I thought this image was ideal to have purple hair!

The image was layered onto holographic paper which has tones of pink and purple in so I reflected the pink in the flowers but they look a little too bright! Honestly it is the same colour.

Is anyone else like me - I don't really use a lot of sentiments, not only because I don't have that many, but because sometimes the card could have several uses and the sentiment doesn't fit the card on the day you want to send it?

Also have you noticed - a clearer picture - don't ask me why, the camera just played ball on this one!

Hope you all have a good Sunday and a full tum like me :)

Curly Girly

Wow, I love weekends, a little more time to have fun crafting a little, but gosh isn't time flying by - who is ready for Christmas then? - nah, nor am I, only got half the stuff I need to do done!! - too much crafting to do!! lol

Anyway my card fits two challenges -

Lili of the Valley - Jacquis sketch and Cute Card Thursday. - card / project that are for the girls.

Fairy, pink, gems, swirls and glitter - yes that fits the bill of being girly. I took this picture this morning when the light was best, but still cannot get a good shot :( The glitter on the fairy's wings or the pearlesence of the paper hasn't shown up either!
This fairy is from the new stamps from Lili of the Valley - it is so gorgeous, my daughter says she looks like a princess. The pink paper was created by using three different cosmic glimmer mists onto plain white copier paper to give different tones of pink.
Thanks for looking,

Whiff of Joy challenge.

Marga has created this weeks sketch for us to use. I've made this card but am not happy with it. I think I need to get some other papers - and hopefully Santa to bring me some new Stamps. Anyway I'll show you it - if you squint it may look a little better lol.

I think it's a great excuse to say I need a more practice in the craft room!! Why not look at the DT cards here - Thanks for looking anyway.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

We have switched our internet provider the other week and boy am I really regretting it.... I keep loosing connection and to get a single post done is taking me at least three times longer than before grhhhh .....

Anyway onto this weeks Challenge, we were to follow the sketch provided Beth - link here for all the details.

The mist is still around!! I dug this little stamp out to ink up. Hopefully I didn't read the challenge wrong as the examples are all of Christmas!!!! - I thought I'd do a birthday card instead (just to be different). I've tried to use up my odd scraps that get left over.

Items used:-
The usual as per all my posts! - gosh Santa please come down my chimney!

(My daughter helped on this card by putting a bit of a smudge on the centre panel when I was taking the photo!)

Thanks for looking and take care

Just Magnolia Challenge.

This weeks sketch has been prepared by Martine - there are fab cards to see and for details follow this link.

Boy do I love the Magnolia images. They caught my eye the first time I saw them - I have only been stamping with them just over three months - they are so versatile and you can adapt them to fit whatever card you wish to send. I must thank Liz again for this image.

I've used quite muted coloured papers and reflected this in the image. Hope you like it.

Items used:-

Papermania papers / Papermill card / flowers - The Works / Friskars boarder punch and Martha Stewart Foliage punch.
