Magnolia Flowers.

Good evening again/ or probably good morning by the time anyone reads this!

Just a quick one for Friday Sketchers and Magnolia Downunder - flowers.

I've used a few scraps of paper and some older flowers from my stash. I coloured using my Promarkers. I've made Tilda's cheeks a little more blushed than normal and over glittered her dress.

I've used the out of the die technique (don't know what is correct name is) .

Thanks for stopping by.

Slippery when wet!

Good evening peeps,

Hope you are / have been enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend - I've had quite a hectic week, apart from working extra as holiday cover, my husband decided to take the computer out of the conservatory where I do my crafting. Now it doesn't sound much, but when the room is found upside down, my bits and pieces all piled up, I then have to set about reorganising everything before I can do anything, it has taken me with the usual interuptions 3 days to do!

Deep breath - now I am able to craft - My first card I had to make is for Jayme as a RAK. If you click ->(all details here) you will see that Lisa is asking us to send a card to her sister Jayme who has terminal lung cancer. Jayme loves frogs. I have used the illustration that Crissy Armstrong has very kindly done. I absolutely love this frog but wanted to do something a little different - I wanted to add something in the design to show what Lisa is doing for Jayme - being a sister, so I added another! Sisters united. I hope you to will click on the link and make a card to give Jayme a lift and make her smile.

I coloured using my promarkers - MS punch and hand made sentiment - all else from my stash

Challenges:- Passion for Promarkers - Anything goes.

OSAAT - Anything new (the digi image)

and also for Lisa's blog

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Just Magnolia

Hi,
Here is another one of my birthday stamps - of course its a Magnolia - I just love Edwin as a pirate. I've got so much inspiration in my head with all these new characters - sometimes it doesn't turn out at what I anticipated. But that's the fun part - you just keep on trying!

Huuummmmm - the card did look a bit better IRL - I'm pleased with my colouring using copics and Promarkers (oh and Stardust in silver for the sword which really glints) but the papers no - they do tone in quite perfectly when I'm looking at them - (bluming phone cameras) now I know what to ask for Christmas! lol

Oh I've finally got my hands on a ms punch that I was after - hopefully if all goes to plan I should have it by the weekend whooooo. As I was surfing around looking for the punch I came across a website that some of you may be interested in - oyster crafts - it is selling the distressed inks (all varieties for £3.00 with free P&P as a temporary special offer - here is the link if you are interested Oystercraft.

Well that's it for me for today - take care

The Boy Rocks

Good evening

I know it's been a little quite on the blogging front - it was my birthday on Sunday and with so many people calling, and then catching up with the household chores - my blogging / creative time was put on hold.

I did however get a few crafting goodies from my children and hubby, a Hougie board, some Magnolia stamps and Sugar Nellie Stamps - I feel so lucky.
Here is the first card I made with one of my stamps.

Challenges:- Cute Card Thursday - Sketch. It did fit a few other challenges but I'm too late for those :(

I did also decoupage the shoe guitar and sunglasses, the guitar was red but my Anitas glossy accents changed the colour!

Thanks for stopping by.

Get well

Hi there

Gosh work has been so brain tiring that I just had to spend some time in the craft room (my little getaway) - I made this card for a relative that is very poorly at the moment in intensive care, but didn't want to go overboard so kept it very simple. This is what I came up with.

It fits the following challenges:-
Totally Gorjuss - Something round on it.
A Spoonful of Sugar - Cute and Girly.
Papertake Weekly - say it with flowers.
I love Promarkers - hand made flowers.
Simon Says Challenge - Tent card with charm(s)

Sorry it's short and sweet, but hopefully back tomorrow with something else.

Take care,
Sarah x

Something Special.

Hi again.
I said that I had been crafting a bit today. This is my second posting and is of a card that I was asked to make for a special lady's 80th birthday. Now I must admit I did have a little bit of a brain freeze on what to do for her but every lady loves flowers so plumped for this creation.

Unfortunately it doesn't look as good as it does in real life honest - the scalloped backing papers are actually a maroon / purple colour which is quite striking against the box which now looks rather dull :(
Inside I lined the box lid with black and a flash of the maroon /purple showing around the edge.
challenges:-
Papertake Weekly - Shiny Sparkly & special.
Cute Card Thursday - Someone Special.
Items used:-
Angel Fibres for the butterfly which shines holographically, pearls, nesties, ms frond punch, flowers from Hobbycraft and stash covers in pearl glimmer mist.
If anyone has any special tricks for taking good pictures with a basic camera / camera phone please feel free to let me know - can't afford a professional camera yet!
thanks for stopping by.

Strawberry delight.

Hiya,
Hope you've all been enjoying your Saturday, the weather in the NW has been really quite warm (out of the breeze! - but not hot enough to colour my luminous white legs lol). Just celebrated hubby's birthday yesterday so went out to buy him some leather pants! nah he's not having a mid life crisis it was for his motor bike - but unfortunately he couldn't find any he liked so we ended up with some textile ones with armour plates in - (he's still a kid at heart - still likes the big boys toys).

At least this is leaving me to craft a little. I have managed to make a few cards today

Challenges:-
Passion for Promarkers - Strawberries & Cream (either colours or images)

I have to admit I had a little help again on this one, as I was pegging out my washing, my daughter had cut the image out - aaaahhhhhggggg - with the shape that was left I could only think of making it into a strawberry - she then tried to help me with the green stalk - it isn't as I'd like but she was so chuffed at helping that I had to keep it on! bless her. I have now had to create a section in my room for her to craft at (the demands of a 3 year old!)
Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you leave as they are always appreciated.

Springtime.

Good evening,

How many of you are blogging and how many are watching the "breaking news"?

After a beautiful day here in Lancashire (and kids at their Grandparents!) I made this card, Its for two challenges Just Magnolia - two images and Stamp with Fun - sketch.

I think all the elements are from the Chasing Butterfly range of Magnolias. My sentiment was a bargin of costing only 10p at the Papermill Shop in Fleetwood!

I've coloured using Promarkers, stickles, backing papers given to me by a friend who has stopped crafting (is she nuts? - but I'm not complaining lol).
Thanks for stopping by.

The Sugar Bowl

Afternoon peeps,
It's been a cold un today, where is the spring/summer? Had to bring out my big warm jumpers again! (yes I'm soft, I don't like the cold one bit!)
I finished off this card today, it is for the Sugar Bowl Challenge of recycling something.
My recycling is the bp is old wrapping paper and the corner elements are the offcuts of paper that I normally throw away being recycled into a collage corner. The flower is a spare one spritzed up for another card which I have put together with some others for this one. Other than that I have kept it quite simple. Coloured with promarkers, scraps of all other items!

Thanks for stopping by.

Friday Sketchers.

Hi,
Just another quicky before I hit the ironing :{
My card is for the Friday Sketchers - I was trying to go quite muted tones for this but my daughter snook into my craft area and coloured in her hat, so I had to add a few more black lines to hide the edges! She is only three and wants to use EVERYTHING I have, scissors, craft knife, glue etc. I don't mind sharing but there are some things that have to be off bounds!

Thanks for looking. Now pop over to the following to follow the blog hop with plenty of candy to win on route.

Jacque, Jeanette Janneke, Claudia, Aud, Inge, Carole & Tanja.

Boyz to Men

Hi again,

Hope you have all enjoyed the start of your weekend, the weekends never seem long enough for me even though I only work part time!
Anyway I managed to get an hour in the craft zone to create this card.
Its for Colour Create Challenge - Khaki Aqua, Brown and Cream (opt Xtra circles)

This is a very old stamp that I really had to dust off! It was bought on my very first trip to the GMEX some time ago - I seem to be having a rush on doing male cards at the mo, so enjoyed this one.

Thanks for stopping by.

Simon Says Challenge.

Hi there,

Have you been over to the Simon Says Blog Hop - click here for details. I made this card for the challenge.
As you know you have to wear a special frock to a party (gosh where did that come from - frock - that was one of my Nan's words). I thought she looked like a proper princess so used the sentiment "her majesty".

I've coloured her with my promarkers and copics, the sentiment is cosmic shimmer, the flowers from Hobbycraft, pearls from stash. bp from Papermania and stickles.

Thanks for popping by.

Just Magnolia.

Hi again,
Told you I made a few cards - with it being Bank Holiday tomorrow and taking the kids out, I thought I'd upload this one today too. I've followed the sketch prepared by Bev for the Just Magnolia Challenge. It's a really brill. sketch, simple and yet so effective.I've used my latest purchase - Princess Tilda. She is just so gorgeous. I've sparkled her up like a proper princess should be. This sketch is now one of my firm favourites.

Thanks for taking a peek.
