Little Dancer

Good Afternoon peeps,
I thought I'd have a play on the computer in the afternoon rather than at night as I'm trying to solve a mystery and I wonder if anyone else is having the same problem as me - I have updated my computer when prompted, but now it is taking forever to get my feeds updated! It is so annoying having to wait at least 1 hour before being able to ready anything!
So whilst waiting to ready your lovely blogs, here is the creation I have done. I must admit I have missed colouring in my Magnolias. I saw a few challenges which I thought would fit the bill so here it is...
Every time Emma sees this image she wants to start ballet lessons. I see her more as a disco queen if you get my meaning!!
The papers are all scraps from my drawer but I think complement each other really well. The ribbon is three strips put together to create one. The loopy one was from The Works and the darker pink is from my stash.
The gorgeous flowers are of course from Wild Orchid - they are like little gems to me. I love just looking at them but know it is better to use them! They have been given a dose of shimmer mist.
Coloured with my promarkers and stickles.
Challenges:-
Well I hope you enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned.
Thanks for visiting

Izzy Wizzy .....

Hi there,
My blogging seems to be a weekly thing now, I wish that I had a little more time to commit, hopefully when Emma starts in school full time it will happen!
FYI - I put an order into Lili of the Valley on the release day (or should I say at 1 minute past 12!) and my stamps arrived on Friday - such a fabulous service - I just wish I could have ordered them all!
Here is what I have come up with this week.
This little boy is my favourite - I have really taken to this image. I've used one of their sentiment stamps "wishing you a magical birthday", stamped twice, once onto a white circle in black and once onto a blue star in white and married them up - I covered it in diamond glaze and sprinkled a bit of glitter on - it does look better IRL. I also decorated the inside to complement the front cover.
I also used my nesties, MS punch, fiskars star punch, downloaded papers, LOTV stamp, ribbon from the Works, glitter from stash. Image coloured with my Promarkers, copics and glitter gel pen for the stars and moon on the cloak (although the camera hasn't picked up the glitter there).
Challenges:-
Papertake Weekly - Punches / Dies.
Crafts & Me - use punches.
Lili of the Valley - Ribbons & Bows (and I did it for a boy!!)
Creative Inspirations - Decorate the inside of your card.
One Stitch at a Time - Anything goes
Oooh must just tell you to, I've finally booked a holiday ...... abroad ...... after 10 years of holiday at home and around the UK, i'm taking two of my kids to Spain, although it is to see family, I'm really excited, apprehensive! It's all changed - online booking in, book your own seats etc! - and only two weeks to wait! Now I'm not being cruel, my eldest son is going to Switzerland for 2 weeks with his Scout troop and hubby went on a mates' 40th jaunty last year to Memphis so I think it is in order!
Thanks for stopping by.

Simple

Good morning,
Did anyone watch the thunder storms last night? The sky was lit up with sheet and then fork lightning, I love watching it but was thankful I was inside! Emma slept through it all even though it was so loud.
I know the gardens need the water but I had really been enjoying the long sunshine we have been having, despite my cold still lingering.
Anyways onto crafty things. I have been playing with my sassy stamps and thought I rarely do paper piecing - so 'cause there were a couple of challenges, why not .... this is what I came up with..
I've kept it quite simple, but really loved the colour combo together.
Challenges:-
Simon Says - paper piecing. (bow dress and socks)
Colour create - Aqua Green Purple and white.
Papertake weekly - anything goes with opt. something round on the project.
Coloured with Promarkers, papers Frond which have a slight distressed element to their look, charm & gems from stash.
Hope you have all had a great weekend, hope to see you again,
Hugs,
