Hoppy Birthday

Hi there,
Another weekend that has flown by, I really could do with an extra day just to get all the washing and ironing done! Mind you I have two teenage boys that seem to be growing out of their clothes more than they need washing lol - shoes lasting 3 months before needing new ones, jeans I am sure I only both them the other month and already they are too short! Hey ho!
I did emerse myself into the craft room just to have a bit of me time today. I came up with this ....
I followed the sketch of Sketch Saturday. I haven't used this image before - I had a design in my mind, but it ended up quite different, but I am quite pleased with it. If you look closely you will see I've run around the edges of the papers with a pricking wheel to give the look of stitching.
Challenges :-
Creative Inspirations - Anything goes.
Simon Says - Anything goes.
One Stop Craft Challenge - stitching real or faux.
I've used my promarkers, the backing paper is a pad a friend gave me cause she was giving up crafting! what ... yes you heard right! I know so many people giving it up, due to cost, time etc. I think that if I enjoy it, why not it is just a little hobby ! Oh gosh looking at the time, i've gotta go and make tea - take care and thanks for passing my way, hugs,

Hello little friend

Whoo back so soon!
Just a quicky thought, here is Tilda which I coloured yesterday in and tried to do the grass and gravel around feet - Note to self - need more practice, but I enjoyed putting this together.

Challenges.
Just Magnolia - Sketch.
One stitch at a time - Anything goes.
Totally Tilda - Tilda with a non domestic animal - (I'm a tryer but it doesn't fit)

Taken from Wiki answers - "Butterflies are classified as Insecta, a class of Anthropoda, which is a phylum of Animalia. Basically butterflies are animals because butterflies are a type of insect and insects are a type of animal."

That's it for now.

Hugs

The first for 2012

Hello,
And a belated Happy New Year to you all. I hope you all have a wonderful, happy and healthy year.

Ours Christmas and New Year were eventful, my boiler decided to pack in on Christmas Day, luckily we were out for the day at my Mum's. Hubby did however call the engineers who were actually there and made an appointment for them to come on Boxing Day.

Emma somehow caught Chicken Pox on New Years Eve. We hadn't heard of been anywhere where someone had had them, so for New Year and her birthday on the 2nd January, we had a very spotty girl. All plans for visiting friends had to be cancelled, her birthday party postponed - luckily she is on the mend and hasn't been tempted to scratch at all.

We did have a quiet day yesterday, Emma crafted with her new Christmas stash and I made this card. I am determined to use up old bits of papers I have. I did get this new Magnolia Stamp for Christmas and just had to ink her. I also am trying to decorate the inside of my cards too.

Challenges:-

Sketch Saturday - sketch

Crafts & Me - Anything goes.

Papertake Weekly - Anything goes with opt. of something new.

Simon Says - something new.

Cute Card Thursday - something new on a card.

Just Magnolia - Anything goes with option of Happy New Year / something new.

Magnolia Downunder - Anything goes.

One Stop Craft Challenge - bingo.

I did try and make a resolution that I would stick to, once all the chocolates and sweets had gone of course, is to try and be more healthy - now I didn't say not have chocolate did I? - but everything has to be in moderation! and to exercise a little more, rather than take the car, give a bit extra time and walk.

Thanks for stopping by

Hugs

P.s. Just realised my sentiment fell off - silly moo must not have glued it on! show it shows in one picture and not the other!

Anyone know how to stop all these extra paragraphs appearing? It's driving me mad!
