We had my son's birthday yesterday and my daughter's birthday is on the 2nd January so have been quite busy with Christmas so not a lot of time for crafting.
So here's wishing you all a wonderful New Year with health and happiness,

Just for you
Sunday 5 December 2010
Time for coffee?
Hope you have all have been keeping warm and had a good weekend. I thought that after busy week I had I would enjoy a long soak in the bath - typically my plans were thwarted - 2 haircuts later my bath was a little cool and then my daughter decided to join me in it - the joys of family life you have to share everything!!!!!
I did manage to sneek to make this on Friday whilst everyone was out!
Challenges:-
Lili of the Valley - Use a craft item / stamp you couldn't do without
One Stop Craft Challenge - Tea / Coffee inspiration
I just love stamping and colouring with my Promarkers - also my punches / nesties are usually used on my cards one way or another. Flowers and stickles are the finishing products. This LOTV stamp was perfect for these challenges.
OK so who is panicing? Who is ready for Chrimbo? I still have loads to do so better hop to it next week.
Thanks for stopping by. Hugs

Little Dancer
What a day full of trials, firstly like all of your I suppose trying to get to work in this weather! - luckily we haven't had as much as the east coast has had, but last year I had to leave my car at work as it was stuck on thick ice, this morning the traffic was horrendous, secondly a big meeting fell through due to the weather and people being snowed and then tonight i've just spent over an hour trying to get onto blogger - he wasn't playing ball saying that suspicious detections had been noted from my computer, what me.......? I only ever look at blogs and a little browing.... I wouldn't know how to do anything suspicious! .... rant over.....
On to a current card ...
Aren't these new images from LOTV so cute - I bought a few from the NEC along with the sentiments. I always used to struggle with sentiments, but these fit any kind of card. The flowers are from Wild Orchid and have used my new MS punch modern garland - I think this is going to be one of my favourite punches (it looks so lush punched in a square). Papers are from Papermania but unfortunately the weather and lighting it doesn't look quite as pretty as it does IRL.
Challenges:-
Lili of the Valley - Sketch.
Passion for Promarkers -Old and New (old card stock and papers - new stamp & punch)
I love Promarker - Anything goes with a bit of sparkle
Papertake Weekly - Cut it out
Hope you all keep safe and warm in this weather, take care, hugs,

New Job.
Hope you have all had a fab weekend, mine has been anything but, with a back that is playing up, a sore throat that makes me have a deep husky voice and the kids have been taken over by gremlins!!! lol Anyhow enough before I waffle on about my woes!
I coloured this card as per the sketch and challenge of The Sugar Bowl. and black white and a colour of your choice. I tried my hand at colouring black hair for a change, it went really well I thought until I saw a helping hand had been at it! - yes Emma had decided to assist (can you tell where?) - so the shading isn't as good as it was :( but at least she kept in the lines! - this was the best salvage I could do! Anyway the woman who wants this card loves it so that is why it has stayed as it is.
The sentiment has been covered by one of those dome stickers which has given it a hazy orange colour. I've rotated the sketch to fit my design - hope this is ok.
Hope to see you all again soon,
Hugs,

Hippy Chic
The papers were sent to me by Elaine - thank you and are from Memory Box. The image has been cut out and 3D silicon mounted although it doesn't look like it in the photo! The green papers are actually vellums. I really like the soft greens on this card. It is also the first time I have done stitching on a card - by hand as well and no the usual fake! It took an age to do, but I think it was worth it. I've also shimmered spritzed the flowers from Wild Orchid.
Challenges:-
A Spoonful of Sugar = Distressing (inking edgesor vintage)
Passion for Promarkers = Stitching and Distressing.
Colour Create Challenge = robin egg blue, sea foam green and cream.
How far have you all got, all prepared and ready - or like me, not a lot done?
Take care,
Sarahx

Such a cute times two
Challenges:- Friday Sketchers -sketch and One Stitch at a Time - choose your favour colours.
The image is from Sugar Nellie, the flowers are Wild Orchid, papers are Papermania, MS doily punch and Promarkers. These images have so grown on me and are really easy to colour in. My favourite colours at the moment is brown and pink - I'm even dressing my daughter in those colours!
Yesterday we made our Christmas cakes (all 5 of them - no I'm not greedy, they do get given out to close relatives, I only keep one!) I thought we'd better get a move on as I have a friend who has shopped, wrapped all her presents and written all her Christmas cards !!!!! - Boy am I so behind.
Here is my daughter "helping" make the cakes ....She says the best bit is licking the spoon and bowl!

Pillow Talk
Just going to squeeze this card in before I shut down for the night - I think sleep is finally catching up with me.
This is one of the images I won from Elaine over at A Technophobes Blog (thanks again Elaine). I have been watching Elaine's cards with these images and at first didn't know whether I liked them or not, but they have really grown on me - I now love these images - you can even colour in their iris's. As this is my first attempt I thought I'd keep the layout simple.
Challenge:- Cute Card Thursday - anything goes.
OK that is me done now.
See you soon,
New addition.
It seems an age since I last blogged .... well home life has been somewhat turbulent.... some of my immediate family have got some serious healh issues to deal with so with dashing here and there I've not been playing much but did manage to get to make this today...I didn't want to follow a sketch today, just have a play and the result was this. It does fit a couple of challenges ....
Simon Says - A male card with a charm.
Craft and Me - Put glitter on your project.
I used the new sentiment stamp from LOTV and my new magnolia stamp.
Anyway short and sweet,
Take Care,
Hugs

Think Pink
I'm posting yet another card I made yesterday, today I was going to have a good play but we had so many visitors, even a 8 week old baby (gosh didn't know broody I would get!) so I didn't mind missing card making to have a cuddle!
Anyways back to the card - sketch of Friday Sketchers and Think Pink - Just Magnolia
My card got a good treatment of distressed inks around the sides and Magnolia die - Wild Orchid flowers, papers were given to me by a friend who has given up crafting (is she mad?) Whimsey and Magnolia stamp and ribbon from stash.
Wrap up warm, Hugs

Make a Wish
Boy do I love Magnolia stamps, they seem to be the main stamp I use now -even my daughter wants the Princess Tilda stamped out all the time so she can colour it in. I managed to sneek back in to the crafting room to do this card whilst she was busy colouring herself.
It fits the sketch of Cute Card Thursday and Colour Create - Aqua, Purple and White. Boy do I hate the winter months - the darker nights - it feels like I can't get any decent light to take a photo - the colours look quite weak in this picture, but there are aquas, purples, yellows and greens in the bottom backing paper - honest. Hope you like it.

Christmas is coming!
Well I have finally relented and despite putting an extra layer on, I've also put the central heating on .... hubby thought it was too soon, but I think men are warm blooded anyway and don't feel the cold as much as women (that's my opinion anyway!).
So with warm fingers I'm typing this very happy and warm!! Another Christmas card off my list - not long to go now ......
Challenge is for Just Magnolia - a sketch. That's it for me for today, thanks for taking time to visit, Hugs
Cupcake
Thanks or taking a peek. Hugs

Think Pink
Hasn't it been gorgeous today? Living by the seaside is wonderful, we had an ice cream walking along the prom and felt like a tourist! lol. then my daughter went paddling in the sea after playing in the sand - a perfect day.
Anyway I'm at home and tea is roasting in the oven so there is time to put this card on that I made. As you are all aware, it is breast cancer awareness month and saying that, please make sure to check yourselves.
My card is in the pink theme.... considering hubby was away for week, I hardly got any time to myself, I was too busy being a housewife scrubbing floors, walls, cupboards, doing the nursery and scout run and allsorts phew - back to normal now so hopefully a little more time to play.
Anyway I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend - Take care,

Autumn picnic
Wow someone heard me and sent a better day!!!!
At the moment i'm into the browns and oranges so made my card for Simon Says - Autumn colours put together with the sketch from Lili of the Valley.I've used the stamp from LOTV, Tim Holtz embossing folder, papers from stash and unknown woodware leaf punches in two sizes, Promarkers.
Just looking around you can see all the wonderful oranges and browns coming through on the trees - so nice when it's dry and not when its raining.
Thanks for visiting and come back soon.

Anniversary Wishes
Now I'm going to be awfully British now.... aren't we having horrible weather? I know it's nearing the end of the year, but come on just a little bit better weather please?!.....
I managed to spend a little time doing a card or two today, but the weather has really put a dull light on matters. I've made an Anniversary card for a friend and came up with this, I hope they like it.
I've used Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen's (hopefully I've spelt the name right lol) backing papers, sizzlit flourishes, Wild Orchid flowers, cuttlebug embossing folder, Promarkers, distressing inks around the edge of the image and stickles.
Well hubby's off to Memphis on a jaunt with his pals for a friends 40th Birthday, so I've taken the week off work to look after the kiddiwinks, hopefully I'll get a bit of playtime now that Emma is at nursery every morning.
Hope you all enjoy your weekend and make the best of the weather and a big thank you for stopping by my lile old blog.
Hugs

Born to Shop
Isn't it annoying when you have a sticky keyboard and have to type things several times in order for it to make sense!
Here is another quicky for the Just Magnolia challenge of a sketch prepared by Dawny P. I just love the flowers from Wild Orchid and had to put some on my card - I think they really accessorise a card well. I used my latest Maggie - (boy do I wish I could win the lottery, mainly so I can keep up to date with all the fab stamp collections that they keep bringing out). Papers are a mix of Papermania and Dovecraft, calligraphy pens, Promarkers, Wild Orchid flowers, ms punch.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments you may leave,
Hugs,
White on White
Why do weekends go so fast? - it's Monday again ....... already. Anyway, here is another card from the weekend, I even managed to make it without my daughter's assistance! lol
I haven't used this SugarNellie stamp in ages - she just looks like my daughter did this summer with her pig tails in and dungarees on - it was really easy to colour. I promise that all the accessories are shades of white - even though they look lemony in the picture
Challenges:-
I love Promarkers - White on White
Colour Create - White with coloured image
The Sugar Bowl - sketch
OSAAT - Anything goes
Boy do I hate dark nights - it feels like there is never enough hours in the day to get everything done that I want to :(
Take Care,

Time to share
Here is another card that Emma helped with - in my last post I said she had got hold of my promarkers - well she started to colour !!........ but gave me an idea for the LOTV challenge - Untraditional Christmas. Emma part coloured in about 6 of these teddies - I picked the best ones and she helped finish off the "colouring in" by holding the pen as I coloured (have you ever tried that, it is quite hard to do!) She did say I had to share my craft things. She helped add the stickles to - don't look too hard as you can see a smudge / finger print or two. I'm keeping this short as I'm now gonna have to bath one little girl!!
Thanks for looking.
An extra pair of hands
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I've just spent the afternoon making cupcakes with my daughter and then messing around in my craft room with her. It has been so quite in my household, one son has gone away with Scouts for the weekend in a camping competition, the other has gone to Kirkby Lonsdale Kayaking.
My daughter has helped me with this card .... she chose the image for me to colour and chose the circles in the corners and the flowers! She even used the cuttlebug to cut the nestie shapes out. I just had to put in in the challenge I was going to do myself as she wanted to see it in my blog! (the demands of a 3 1/2 year old! lol) I did the stickles myself but am wondering why Emma is covered in glitter! This is for the Simon Says Challenge. a sketch.
Voila!! Not too bad a joint effort. Only now she is using my promarkers as felt tips aaaarrrhhh!
Thanks for taking a peek.

Goodbye
It always seems like my computer life is at night time when the kids have gone to bed ... hopefully I am typing sense even though my eyelids are a little tired!!
Anyways, here is a card that I am quite chuffed with. Tilda was bought last week from my Manchester crafting spree. Isn't she just gorgeous. I have made my own flowers for this card which fits a couple of challenges. I think I am going through a purple stage in my life - either that or I have to many bp in purple tones.
Challenges:-
Just Magnolia - Sketch.
Totally Tilda - make your own flowers.
Totally gorgeous - flowers on your card.
Papertake weekly - my take on a photo
The flowers were made using two Marianne Design dies, flourish was a sizzix sizzlit, bp from creative memories and coloured with promarkers.
Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you may leave, they do make my day.

Christmas Card for Rob.
Hasn't this week gone so fast - well it has for me. I feel like i'm in a time warp and it's just wizzing by!
Coloured with Promarkers, papers are unknown, stickles and glitter (which has just a slight glitter not too overpowering), flower punch is one of those that you emboss afterwords which is ace - would recommend those. Ticket sentiment is a Whimsey stamp.
Thanks for stopping by, your always welcome.
