Hi there,

I have been missing from blog land for a while mainly due to my lovely Dad passing away.  He had battled Cancer for a number of years and had been given a pass - but it had come back.  Emotions have been up and down and it has been more difficult with him not living in the same Country.  Christmas was a very sad time this year.

I have a long road ahead to deal with matters - crafting has been on the back burner as my heart has not been in it, but I hope in time I'll be back.

 Hello there peeps,
Yet another chilly day - but not too cold like my card feels! - I had a kid free day today - they all went out to their friends so I spent a lovely afternoon in my craft room.
Here is one of the cards I made:-

I love promarkers - snowflakes

Just the way you are

Hello again,
Boy has the weather taken a turn - just a little bit colder than what I'd like however, it did mean I could stow myself away in my craft room to make a card or two - my daughter decided to start riding her bike with her friend saying it was lovely and warm - why are kids always warm?
This is one of the cards I made using one of the images from Kirsta Smith - (not available in her shop though).  The image is one of those that has a strong character, but it also reminded me of the Titanic scene with her standing on the railings with the wind in her hair.
The colours are a lot more vibrant in real life,  Coloured with my promarkers - they are still going strong after several years. I love the sentiment "love you just the way you are" - a real positive one.
Bearly Mine - ribbon / twine / string
I love Promarkers - brown and orange colour combo.
thanks for stopping by,

Cute Fizzy Moon.

Whooo hooo, I'm back -
I have made this card with a Fizzy Moon image from a CD - I have never made a card with a pre-printed image, I have always stamped and coloured an image in, but boy, if you are ever in need of a quick way to make a card, this is certainly the way to go.
As usual I am always short on mens/boys cards so just had to make one or two.

Hope you like it.

Blue Fairy

Hi again,
I might as well post another card whilst I've still got time to myself.  I really love Krista's images, here is another one I downloaded over the weekend, she is called "sweatersocks fairy".  I've kept the card quite simple (mainly cause I'm just and so getting back in the swing of things!)
I've used mainly blues with a slight hint of aqua/green - the colours actually remind me of a peacock's feathers.
Bunny Zoe Challenge - something blue.
I love Promarkers - 3 different shapes.

See you soon,

Comfy Slippers

Hello there,
It seems an age since I was last here - I really can't believe how busy I have been recently.  My kids are all back into the swing of school so I have managed to sneak into my craft room to have a play.   I have downloaded Krista Smiths "comfy slippers" - just look at her mane of hair - gorgeous.
I gave myself a task = I've used lime / green colours - I really don't do greens that much - but my camera hasn't picked up the colours that well - typical.  They are really more vibrant than shown.   I've used my trusty promarkers as usual, used lots of glitter too.
Papertake weekly - Card for a child
Creative Inspirations - Anything goes with option of a sketch.
Cute Card Thursday - Hip to be square.

End of Year

Hello there,
Long time no see - and long time since I managed to make a card :(                  Gosh getting back in the swing of things is quite hard after taking a little break.
I have made a thank you card for my daughter's teacher.  Emma has really enjoyed her year at school and got a really great report - I have still to make the gift to go with the card (I know that it is cutting it fine!).
The image is of course Saturated Canary and it is so apt for the occasion.
There are a couple of challenges it fits into which are:-
Papertake Weekly - Buttons and Bows.
I love Promarkers - Anything goes.

I've been MIA as I have been busy helping a few people out with Wedding favour boxes, muffin boxes etc. and I have been studying for a couple of tests which I have passed  ... have a guess what for....... my motorbike test.  I can now play with the big boys on a bike (no it isn't a mid life crisis just a delayed wish from over 20 years ago!).  I do actually go on my motorbike to work every day as the parking is free! but I needed to pass my test - I had not actually done an exam since leaving college and I got so worked up with nerves, not eating and being literally sick with worry but it was all worth while and now looking back on it - it wasn't that bad.

I have been hopping around your lovely blogs - you are all so talented - hopefully I can now concentrate on my hobby!.

Anyway thanks for hopping my way.

Sitting Pretty

Hello there,
Long time no see.  I've been really busy with house renovations and my computer crashing (amongst other things) that it's taken me a while to be able to sit and colour in a card or two in peace!  It took a long time to try and get back into the swing of things so I've gone quite simple on my design.

Its funny, when you've not been blogging for a while, remembering how to upload a pictures etc.
I've used the Krista Smith's beautiful image and tried to get the shine on her hair right - yep keep on practicing.  Anyhow it is short and sweet today.

Sugar Plum

Hello again,
A few days off over Easter and a day to myself to craft - what more could I ask for???
I've tested myself using colours I wouldn't normally have used - green and purple - I saw it on a challenge and thought why not give it a go.
Looking at your blogs - you all have been really busy with your cards - they are all gorgeous.
My card is a Saturated Canary image - think these images have now overtaken all my other stamps on my most favourite list.
Short but sweet,
Take Care,
