A flower for you.

Hi again, enjoying your Bank Holiday? Beautifufl weather (especially for the Bank Holiday!!~)

I think this will be my last one today, as back to work tomorrow :(

This is for the LOTV challenge - dotty backgrounds. Hopefully next weekend I'll be able to udate my LOTV stamps so here is one of their older designs. The colours aren't what I usually go for but I'm up for trying anything - the papers are MME - flowers a mixture of stash, and Wild Orchild. The sentiment is an old one which is wood mounted ! I forgot I had it as it's in a "fat drawer" for my wood mounted stamps - thank goodness all the newer ones you attach to a block! Also stickles for the little bit of glitz oh an my Promarkers of course.

Oh and I thought that you may like to see my new investment .... Little tin pencil holders which I will now use to hold my Promarkers - guess how much .......
10p each!!! what a bargin - they were from a shop where I live which is closing down I don't know if you have it where you live but it is called Hitchens (which sells ex catalogue items) - they had a whole shelf full of them so I had to buy a £1 worth! lol they could even be altered art ........

Thanks for stopping by.

Pretty in Pink

Morning,
Wow another day off - I like a Bank Holiday. I made this card yesterday in my little bit of craft time. The image was one that was sent to me which is just gorgeous - another one for my wish list! I've gone all girly and created this for the Just Magnlia challenge of a sketch by Dawny P.I have noticed when using my Promarkers that they do go a lot paler than when I first use them, especially the skin tones.
Items used:- nesties, ms punch, promarkers, Papermania rose garden papers, diamonte gems, diamond glazed the sentiment. Wild Orchid roses, stickles.

Have all you with school children got all the unforms bought, named and ironed? All last minute bits bought, new pens, pencils - why do I have to buy new of everything each year? Is there a Mr. Noboby at every school scoffing rulers, pencils and rubbers? And who stretched my kids that all their trousers are 2 / 3 inches shorter than only 6 weeks ago?
Anyway roll on Thursday - routine and normality - not that I haven't loved having them around, it is just they are getting a little fed up now - they need to learn!

See you soon,

Dressing Up Maggie

Hi,
Hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday or even just your weekend. I managed at last to get some crafting done. I've done so much holiday cover recently that I was having withdrawal symptoms and then when I eventually got back to my crafting table.......blank ..... aggghhhh.

After sitting what seemed an age I managed to join The Sugar Bowl challenge - Sketch and Pearls. Unfortunately I used all my pearls up without realising, so have had to created my own using a fabric paint. I've used my very first Funky Kits Sugar Nellie Stamp - Dressing up Maggie, bought at my very first crafting show. I've coloured the image using my promarkers and used flock for the scarf, stickles for the handbag and have decoupaged the flower on her hat. The papers are Katie Knight (a freebie from a magazine) MS doily punch.

Oh how good it was to be back blogging again. I'm looking forward to seeing all your creations. Thanks for visiting and any comments you may leave.

Tilda and Edwin.

Second Post today.
Just another quick one to fit in before tonight - the image was sent to me by Jeanette of Happy Thoughts and Inkspots (thank you). I thought that this image would perfectly fit the Magnolia Downunder Challenge which is to use a Tilda and an Edwin..

I've used pearlised paper in pink to highlight the paper and MS punches, pearls. I've used twinkling H20 in pearl for her dress which doesn't show on the picture, but gives it a real satin sheen. I have used copics on Edwins suit, I think i'm finally getting the hang of shading - but still need quite a lot more practice (what a chore when it's what you love doing!!) and finally stickles here and there. This is probably too late to enter but thought I'd show it anyway.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend whatever you are doing - thank you for stopping by

Magalicious Birthday.

Hi there, hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I'm so looking forward to tonight, the kids are at my moms and we are off to a fancy dress party ! (Hawaian theme) whoooo - it's been so long since I've been let out without the kids. So just time to blog my creation for Magalicious Highlights - Birthday. This image I've had for a while but haven't used that often even though I think she is so adoreable.

I love the purples and blues together. Coloured using Promarkers and distressed ink. Lace and flowers from Wild Orchid, cuttlebug corner die, Whimsey Sentiment Stamp.

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Good morning (gosh I don't usually get to say that) only because Im posting this late and it won't be seen until the morning.

I'm going to get the remainder of the kids school uniforms, pens, pencils etc. today, I want to be all prepared and just know that i'll be trailing around for shoes because they don't like them or they don't feel right (yeah I know you will do the same!)

Anyways, I made this card the other day for the Sugar Bowl Challenge, I seem to be making cards but not getting around to posting them until it is too late, goodness knows how all the DTs do it every day!
I used my new spellbinder and circle nestie, Whimsy sentiment stamp, paper from stash, sizzlit flourish. Sugar Nellie Stamp (such a classy one to!), promarkers and chalks. I think all in all it has come together quite well.

Thanks for tuning in!

Lazy Summer.

Hello there,
It seems such an age since I last blogged, besides my little vacation, time just seems to have been flying by so much. Hopefully I can get back into a rhythm.

My first card which hopefully I have blogged in time is for the LOTV challenge - four seasons. I chose summer = this little character is so laid back, reminding me of a lazy summer day with not a care in the world.
I used Promarkers, Whimsey stamp sentiment, all else from stash. Well that is all for today, thank you for stopping by.

Mystical Fairy

Hello there,

I am scheduling this post (fingers crossed it has worked!) as I'm taking a little holiday with my family. We are not going far, but a break is as good as a rest!

My card is as a GDT for One Stitch at a Time for this week. I have used Dareama image created by Beary Dust Stamps from Stitchy Bear Crafting Boutique. Their challenge is mystical, dragons, fairies. I think that Dareama makes a really good mystical fairy.

I have coloured her using my promarkers, used MS punch around the page and leaf frond, stickles, flowers from Wild Orchid and Hobbycraft. The swirls are a sizzlit die.

Thank you for stopping by.
