Hocus Pocus

Tis moi again, hopefully not waffling ...
Boy do I just love this image from LOTV - such a cutie pie. I have teamed it up with some other wizardy stamps which I think fits perfectly.

I've even got out my embossing folders - after having a rumage around my drawers and finding things I haven't used in a while - I buy but don't seem to wear anything out! - we are a society of must have, even if we don't need! guilty as charged ....

Anyways, I have used some microbeads on two of the stars, stickles (I was going to chuck the bottle away, but housing it upside down found still to have a huge amount in it) - old stamps making an outing, flocking on the spider, glossy accents on the owls eyes, ribbon from stash and apt for occasion and of course the LOTV Stamp.

Challenges:-
LOTV - sketch.
Crafts & Me - Ribbon
I Love Promarkers - anything goes.
Allsorts - anything goes.

Biggest hugs,

It is all go ....and finally

Hi there,

Boy has it all been go at our home this last week - On Sunday I took my eldest son and friend to a Soap Charity football game at our local football stadium - guess who was there ...

Coronation Street & Hollyoaks stars plus Rhodri Giggs (brother of Ryan) - it was my first ever football match and was really enjoyable.

Monday my eldest son and friend went off to Switzerland with scouts camping for two whole weeks (with no contact allowed back home!). I've had to make sure all his washing was done and that he didn't wear any of the clothes that he wanted to take with him. Two 14 year olds, and early start of 3.00am to get them to the coach didn't bode well, the whole house was woken by their stomping around and getting ready! Anyhow they got off safely and my house is so quiet - no kids winding each other up!

Tuesday, hospital appointments for scans and Xrays on my back to see if they will do surgery or if I have to keep on suffering!! (repeating slipped discs - three discs slipped, they only took one out previously and left me to manage!) Emma thinks it funny as I have a scar on my back that looks just like a zip!

Wednesday - 20 year wedding anniversary - I am not as brave as Marcia was showing the early photos - but just imagine hubby and me with long permed hair - a typical 80's couple and now a good few years older lol.

Hubby did take me out for a lovely 2 course meal, just me and him - starters and main and then for a McFlurry to watch the sun set over Morecambe bay - hubby has the picture which is gorgeous, but he hasn't worked out on his new phone how to send it to me! will post it as soon as I can as it is a view to see.

Today we have been decorating a bedroom - hubby done most of the painting, I helped "cut in" which is very important lol. whilst waiting for the paint to dry I made a few cards will post them soon as waiting for glue to dry now!

..... this post has taken so long the glaze has dried.... here is one of the cards I made...

Yes it is bright = the balloons have been 3d'd. Coloured using Promarkers.

Challenges:-

Magnolia Downunder - 3D / Paper tole.

Allsorts - free and easy
Thanks if you've managed to stay with me after that marathon !

Just a little puff ...

Good evening ladies,
Another week nearly over, why do weekends pass so fast? is it the enjoyment of them? the housework or what?
Anyways I snuck a little time in my room for crafting. I stamped a load of images out and thought that I could have a colouring session. I also had a sort out and tried to use things which I hadn't used for quite a while - I tried to do something different - so the fantasy film got an airing and my flourish spell binder die and then I found this paper which when you look at it one way it is one colour and when you look at it another it is a different one. Do you think they would bring back Saturday Swop Shop for crafters - lol get rid of some of the items we don't use and swop for things we may like to have/try??!
I am entering my card into the following challenges:-

Bunny Zoes Challenge - Fun in the Sun
Papertake Weekly - Hot Hot Hot
Crafts and Me - Summertime
Creative Inspiration - no flowers allowed
Simon Says - Anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - Circles
Allsorts - Free and Easy

The extras used on my card is flowersoft for the seed thingys, promarkers, candy dots, LOTV stamps, distressing inks & MS butterfly punch. Just now off to try and make a dimensional card as the ones I have seen so far have been stunning.

Hugs to you all and thanks for visiting,

Lovey Dovey

Hi there,Align Centre
It's such a beautiful day. Just come back from taking Emma to a party so hot that i've come inside for a cool down! - she has been so afraid of bouncy castles for some reason, but today - whoooo, she went on it, and loved it. I couldn't get her off it. Everyone has got something to do today so I've decided to blog earlier than my usual 11 pm stint! lol. My card is for the LOTV Challenge (a sketch) which has one of my favourite LOTV stamps which also links for Crafts & Me challenge- I love this couple together - it can be used for quite a few kinds of cards.

I've used my promarkers as usual, WOC flowers and seam binding, MS frond punch and a freeby paperpad again and charm from stash.
I have created my cloud background using the smallest blossom nestie and chalking over one edge and moving it along - I think it works quite well.
A few other challenges it fits into is Papertake Weekly - anything goes and Allsorts Challenge - free and easy.

Well no rest for the wicked, gotta make tea now - they've just come in saying they are hungry.
Hugs to you all,

A bit o' this and a bit o' that

Oops I didn't post this yesterday so pretend it is still Sunday!! :)
It's been a funny old day today, we went to check out our local car boot venues. You know how much cr*p you hoard, well I've been having a blitz whilst my computer was poorly. Now what do you do with all the stuff? Well one mans rubbish is another mans treasure so we went to see which venue would be best to sell our items. Husband has kindly been persuaded/agreed to do it so hopefully that will be a few more pounds to go to our new bed fund.

Well the next stop was the bed shops ... I felt quite uncomfortable trying beds out with hubby and with sales people hands on hips looking at us! It isn't as though we are going to run off with one now is it. Four shops later, leaflets galore and one sales person saying the deal with only be for today and trying to throw in all she could to seal the deal!!!! Nah gotta sleep on it (pardon the pun!) Anyway with the brain whizzing around with pocket sprung, anti this and that, memory foam, coils etc. I decided to head to my little haven.

Aaaahhh that is better, sorry if I bored you ..... another colour combo I don't do that often. Funny how we always seem to stick to what we know/like ourselves isn't it?

Challenges:-

Colour Create challenge - Fushia Green & white (make your own flowers)

Just Magnolia - Anything goes

Allsorts Challenge - free and easy.

Stampalot Challenge - Anything goes.

Ooops, the picture is a little wonky (and slightly blurry?!!! - gotta invest in a new camera) - I've used papers which were a freebie from a magazine. Handmade flowers again, papers from the Papermill, Magnolia Stamp & MS punches.

Hope you all have a fab weekend.

A new Colour combo

Hey there,

You may have thought I'd fallen off the planet as I haven't been around for a while.... nope, my computer has been really poorly, it picked up a virus which had embodied itself so deep I had to send it to the PC Dr. to get it fixed. It took two solid days for it to be fixed and reset, so all the updates from 2003 onwards has taken quite some time to do!!!!

I felt so down in the dumps not having it to have a look around your lovely blogs, luckily I backed up all my photos and videos and everything else I needed ....... apart from my feeds! duh I have managed to get most of them back but there are still one or two I have to refind! So let this be a warning back up all that you don't want to loose. Apparently there are a lot of viruses piggy backing on updates and there is no way of knowing you have it until it is too late. Yes I had virus protection, firewall etc but it did no good :(

Here is a card I made, the colours are really cheery - not a combo I would use, but I really like it.

I have tried the make the flowers myself, you really can't beat WOC flowers. It really looks quite basic, but I quite like the plain and simplicity of it. With work being so hectic at the moment, I haven't had chance to put my mussy brain into serious crafting mode - gonna have to do something about that!!!!

Challenges:-

I love Promarkers - use flowers on your card.

Simon Says Challenge - Lavender and Lemon

LOTV - Celebrate

Well since you are reading this, thank you for stopping by.

Big hugs
